My MRI report shows an ACL tear and meniscus injury in my knee. The orthopedic doctor recommended arthroscopic surgery, saying it's necessary. Is surgery really the only option or are there other treatments I can try first? I'm worried about recovery time and risks

While arthroscopic surgery is often recommended for combined ACL and meniscus injuries, it's not always the only treatment option. Conservative treatment, including physical therapy and bracing, might be suitable for some individuals, particularly those with less active lifestyles or partial tears. A thorough discussion with your doctor about your specific situation, activity level, and goals is crucial to determine the best approach

I've had an ACL injury for the past 2 years and I'm wondering if sports injury surgery can be done without using screws what are my options and how effective are they
Yes, it's possible to manage ACL injuries without surgery, particularly for those who are less active or who don't want to return to high-impact sports. If surgery is necessary, there are minimally invasive techniques that may avoid using screws, such as suture-based repairs or allograft techniques.

I have patellar subluxation. It dislocates and comes back to position but gives pain at that moment and I fall down due to instability. I come back to normal within 35mins. No pain. What should I do to fully recover from this Should I start doing Physio exercises I am not in a situation to do surgery if its needed
To recover from patellar subluxation without surgery, focus on strengthening the muscles around the knee, improving knee stability, and managing pain. Physical therapy is crucial for building muscle strength and improving joint stability, which can reduce the likelihood of future subluxations.
