My nose is always stuffy because of allergies and my CT scan showed a blockage in my right nostril. The doctor recommended surgery using an advanced ENT navigator, saying it could turn into chronic sinusitis if I don't get it done. Are there any other treatments or alternative medicines I could try instead of surgery?

View allMy mom is 60 and has diabetes and high blood pressure. She's been dealing with really bad ear itching and when we saw an ENT specialist, they found holes in both eardrums. One doctor says she needs surgery on the right ear first then the left after 3 months, but another ENT said surgery isn't necessary at all. Really confused about what to do since we have the scan reports but getting conflicting opinions
It's understandable to be confused with conflicting medical opinions. While a perforated eardrum (a hole in the eardrum) can sometimes heal on its own, surgery (tympanoplasty) might be necessary, especially if the perforation doesn't heal within a few months or if it causes significant hearing loss or ear infections. Your mom's diabetes and high blood pressure could also influence the healing process and make it more important to address the perforation properly

I'm wondering if it's okay to rinse my mouth with fresh water after using Betadine for gargling. Also, if I can't rinse, is it safe to swallow the saliva that comes after gargling, because I read somewhere it might cause thyroid issues? And how long should I wait before eating or drinking anything post-gargling?
There is no such specific indication do it in your comfortable way.

Can Sinarest 500mg actually cure a sinus infection for good? And what symptoms does it really help get rid of permanently? I'm curious if it'll really help or if I should be looking at something else.
