My Widal test results are: S. Typhi O: 1:160 S. Typhi H: 1:80 S. Typhi AH: below 1:20 S. Typhi BH: below 1:20 The blood test was done one week after the onset of fever. What do these results indicate, and do I need treatment?

Widal titre of O 1:160 suggests possible recent typhoid. Confirm with Typhidot IgM or Blood Culture. Widal can give false positives. If fever persists, repeat CRP and ESR.
Dr. Vasanthasree Suggests...
Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test or Take a Typhoid Test Test

I have been experiencing sneezing episodes every early morning and at night for several days. Last Tuesday evening, I developed cold and fever with chills. The next day, a physician diagnosed it as a viral infection and prescribed azithromycin and oseltamivir. The fever has subsided, but the cold is still persisting. Today, my Widal test came back positive with a titre of 1:160. However, I understand that Widal can be falsely positive in viral infections. What should I do next?

My Widal report shows S. Paratyphi A from 1/20 to 1/160 are all positive, S. Typhi H and O are positive at 1/20, and S. Paratyphi B is negative. All other sections are negative. Do I have typhoid disease? What should I do regarding this? Is it in a lethal or dangerous condition or is there no need to be anxious?
