I was supposed to take one azithromycin tablet of 500 mg a day for three days, but today I ended up taking two instead, with an 8-hour gap in between. Should I be worried about this or is it not a big deal?
It is important not to panic. Just continue with the remaining dose as prescribed. So, for the next 2 days, take 1 tablet of azithromycin (500 mg) each day as originally instructed. This deviation from the prescribed dosing schedule is unlikely to cause any significant harm. Just ensure you follow the correct dosage for the remaining days.
