Please confirm whether I have typhoid based on my Widal test results, O antigen is 1:160 and H antigen is 1:160. I have heard that values above 1:160 may suggest typhoid. I have been having chills, high fever up to 102.6F, cold, cough, and body aches. After taking Paracetamol, Aceclofenac and Cefigard 200, my symptoms have subsided. Should I continue with the same prescription? Also, my CBP is normal, and the urine report shows pus cells of 5 to 6 HPF and epithelial cells is 2 to 4 HPF.

A titre of 1:160 may suggest early typhoid, especially if symptoms match. If you are improving with Cefixime (Cefigard), continue as advised. Monitor temperature and hydration.

View allHi, I have a blood test report including dengue, malaria, and typhoid. When I consulted my doctor, he said it was positive for typhoid. Can anyone confirm the type of fever, please? Is it typhoid fever or a normal fever? Please do not ask me to consult a doctor. Please check the attached reports. Thanks in advance.

My father has been experiencing fever for the last 3 days. His Widal test report shows S. Paratyphi O antigen at 1:80 and S. Paratyphi H antigen at 1:80. I would like to know if these results are normal or if they clearly indicate typhoid. Please clarify if we need to be concerned.

How long do we need to take the medicine? How can I know if the treatment is completely effective, since I cannot see clear results in the Widal test?
