Please provide a detailed analysis of this blood test report and advise as soon as possible. The patient has been coughing for more than four weeks and has not experienced any cold. What could be the possible cause of this persistent cough?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Chronic cough may be from TB, allergy, or post viral effects. If CBC, CRP, ESR or chest Xray show abnormalities, consult a pulmonologist.

I have been having repeated CBC tests over the past 9 months. My WBC count has consistently been between 12,500 to 14,000 and platelets between 100,000 to 150,000, but on two occasions when I had a peripheral blood smear, the report was normal. Tests for HCV, HBsAg, RBC, HIV, Dengue, VDRL, MP, and Vidal were all normal. I do not have any significant symptoms. Could you please advise what I should do going forward? Can I consider myself healthy, or is there a need for further investigation?
