So Ive been checking my oxygen levels with an oximeter and it seems to start at 96 but then drops to 88 within just a couple of minutes. Im not showing any symptoms and I havent tested positive for COVID. Should I be worried about this or could it just be that the oximeter isnt working right?

Accuracy of the Oximeter: a. Ensure the device is properly placed. b. Keep your hands warm and still during measurement.
-
Oxygen Levels:
- A drop from 96% to 88% is significant and should be addressed.
-
Symptoms:
- Even without symptoms, low oxygen levels can indicate underlying issues.
-
Next Steps:
- Consult a healthcare professional for evaluation.
- They may perform tests like a chest X-ray or pulmonary function tests.
-
When to Seek Immediate Care:
- If you experience shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness, or confusion, seek emergency care.
In summary, while device errors are possible, a consistent drop to 88% is concerning. Consult your doctor for a thorough assessment.

View allI've had TB before back in 2010, but I got through it with treatment. Recently though, I've been experiencing some worrying symptoms. I've got a little chest pain mainly on the right side, there's dry coughing, and it kind of feels like there's a bloody taste in my mouth when I'm trying to get to sleep. There's also some appetite loss going on. Could these be signs of something serious, or am I overthinking it?

I've been having some mucus in my respiratory tract, and it's a bit weird because there's no cough or fever. But every morning, I notice this sound when I'm breathing in, and it's really uncomfortable. I'm wondering what might be causing this and if there's something I should be doing about it?
Please get your pulmonary function test done and also Chest xray. See a Pulmonologist in your area.

I'm really worried about my dad. He had COVID recently and now the doctor mentioned that he has some kind of fistula in his left lung. I'm not sure what this means for his recovery or his health in general. Could you explain what a fistula in the lung is and how serious it might be? Is it something that happens because of COVID infections, and what kind of treatment should he expect?
