So my 22-year-old brother has had a cold and fever since yesterday, and we just found out he's positive for coronavirus. His pulse is over 100 even when he's relaxed, and his oxygen saturation is around 93-94. He's dizzy and his nose is completely blocked, plus his fever's hovering around 99. The online doctor suggested waiting it out with nasal spray and flu meds. Should I be thinking about taking him to the hospital, or is it okay to give it a few more hours to see if the meds help?

View allI've had a fever for the past three days, with my temperature fluctuating between 98.6 and 102. I get really cold in the evenings, probably because of the sweating, and I'm worried it's making the fever worse since I don't change my shirt soon enough. I don't have any body, joint, or muscle pain, but my nose is a bit runny and my throat hurts slightly. Could this be something serious, or is there anything specific I should do to get better quickly?
Your symptoms, including fever, sweating, chills, runny nose, and slight throat pain, suggest a possible viral upper respiratory tract infection, such as a common cold or flu; however, to rule out other causes like bacterial infections or pneumonia, consider consulting a doctor for a physical examination, and possibly, a rapid antigen test or chest X-ray.

I'm feeling quite uneasy tonight. It's like I've got chills and I'm shivering. It feels like a fever, but I don't actually have one. There's also some irritation in my throat and I just feel really weak overall. What could be going on and what should I do?
-It sounds like you're experiencing early symptoms of a viral infection or flu-like illness. Keep yourself warm, drink plenty of fluids (warm water or herbal teas), and rest well. If your throat irritation worsens, try saltwater gargles or lozenges. Monit
