She suggested folic acid capsules, sachets of AGS 90 for BP control, and progesterone. So we asked why she suggested progesterone drug in early pregnancy but the answer was not satisfactory, and we have read many myths about progesterone. Now we are confused whether it is safe to take progesterone? And why did she recommend this drug to my wife?

Hi, I got a positive pregnancy test, which I also confirmed with an HCG blood test. In that test, my values were 779 and 1387, taken a day apart. I am having red brown discharge with light cramps. When I went to the doctor, she suggested a hormone injection and Miprogen tablet for two weeks. Will this situation settle or is there any risk of complication? Please suggest.
