Can I get my inguinal hernia mesh repair and gallbladder removal surgery done at the same time since I have 1011 small gallstones? Is combining these procedures safe and how long would the recovery take?

Yes, it's generally safe to combine inguinal hernia mesh repair and gallbladder removal (cholecystectomy) surgery at the same time, especially if the gallbladder removal is done laparoscopically. This approach can potentially reduce hospital costs and increase patient satisfaction. Recovery time would typically be 4-6 weeks, with a slower recovery for open hernia repair.
