All my blood tests thyroid, prolactin, vitamin B12, CBC are normal, though my HbA1c is 6.1 and I have mild cholesterol. I've been diagnosed with a 2.2x1.5cm posterior wall intramural fibroid and my endometrial thickness is 5mm. Do I need surgery for this? Could it affect my chances of getting pregnant? Are there any medications that can completely treat it?
Intramural fibroids may affect fertility but surgery is usually only needed if they cause symptoms or failed conception; medicines like GnRH analogs may help shrink them.
