What is SGOT? For me it is showing 42 IU/L which is more than normal in my report. Please explain whether I have any problem? It stands for serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase?

SGOT (AST) is a liver enzyme. Mild elevation (like 42 IU/L) is usually not concerning unless persistent. Avoid alcohol, fatty food, monitor if needed.
Dr. Bhanu Suggests...
Take a LIVER FUNCTION TEST (LFT) Test or Take a SGOT/AST (ASPARTATE AMINOTRANSFERASE) - SERUM Test
