View allI'm really worried about my dadhe's 53 and caught COVID on March 30th. He had a fever for four days, and after talking to the doctor, we did an HRCT of his chest. It showed a mild infection with about 10-15% of lung involvement. The doc gave him some medicine called Ferocort and Syncrobreath, plus a cough syrup. But the thing is, he's still coughing a lot. I'm just wondering, how long do you think it'll take for the cough to get better?
for cough to reduce it will take 1 week

My brother was diagnosed with pleural effusion and the doctor recommended surgery. Is surgery really necessary or can it be treated with medications? What causes this condition and is it life-threatening? Could it be related to TB? I've attached the reports for reference.
A detailed evaluation will help decide the best course of action.
