Which types of food should be avoided to control ESR?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
All types of junk food containing unhealthy oils which increase inflammations should be avoided to control ESR levels. Instead, foods such as fruits and cooking oil such as olive oil should be used to lower ESR levels.

View allI have been experiencing a fever of 100 to 102F and a dry cough for the past 3 weeks. The coughing is causing headaches and abdominal pain. My blood tests were negative for typhoid, malaria, and Widal test, but my ESR is elevated at 59 (normal range 0 to 20). I am currently taking Almont Alcare, Curin M, Oceft CF 500, and a cough syrup. Despite the medications, my fever continues to fluctuate between 100 to 102F. Please suggest what could be causing this and what should be done next.

I have been experiencing cough and cold for 4 days, with a mild fever between 99 and 100.5F over the last two days, which subsided after taking PCM. Today, as advised by my doctor, I had a blood test. The results show ESR 40, while hemoglobin and platelet count are normal. I am confused about why my ESR is high. My doctor prescribed Azithromycin for 5 days. Is there any serious problem associated with this high ESR?
