The blood test says Salmonella Typhi O and H 1:80 positive. What does it mean? Please let me know.

A Widal test showing Salmonella Typhi O and H 1:80 positive indicates exposure to typhoid bacteria but may not confirm active infection. Low titres like 1:80 can sometimes occur due to past infection or vaccination. If there are symptoms like fever, weakness, or abdominal pain, consult your doctor for evaluation. A Typhoid IgM test or blood culture is more reliable to confirm active typhoid infection if needed.

View allI had a fever last week (not continuous) along with a slight, constant headache for 3 to 4 days. After the fever broke, I did a blood test at a private clinic the next day. The Widal test report showed 1/160 Typhi O positive. The doctor prescribed Rabasec D SR, Cefixime, and Ofloxacin for 10 days, saying it was a slight case of typhoid. Is this treatment appropriate?

Respected Sir/Madam, I am having mild fever and weakness along with pain in the calf and lower back. At times I also experience headache, sweating, and feeling cold. Today I got my test done. I have already completed a 5 day course of antibiotics but I still feel feverish. My test report shows that I am Widal positive weakly and my LFT results are SGPT 128 and SGOT 73. I have attached the report. Kindly suggest what should be done.
