Dear Doctor, an 8 year old girl has been suffering from fever, and her blood report shows a haemoglobin level of 10.1, a total leukocyte count of 3700, and a C reactive protein level of 22 mg per dL. I am concerned about these results and would like to know if this situation is an emergency.

A raised CRP suggests infection, and low TLC can occur in viral fevers. It is not necessarily an emergency, but please consult a paediatrician soon for examination and treatment.
Dr. Siri Suggests...
Take a COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT (CBC) Test or Take a C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (CRP) - QUANTITATIVE Test

Hello, I have attached my blood report for review. It shows that my monocyte count is 12 percent (1152 per microlitre). Could you please let me know if this is high and whether my blood report is normal overall? I would appreciate your consultation and guidance.
