Hi Doctor, I have been experiencing headache, eye pain, fever, stomach pain, red skin spots, body pain, leg pain, and occasional nosebleeds. Four days ago, I consulted a doctor, underwent a CBC test, and was told it was viral fever. However, now I have noticed red skin spots and rare nosebleeds, which are making me concerned. I would like to know if this could be dengue or just viral fever, and whether dengue is curable. I have attached my CBC report (done 4 days ago) along with the prescriptions I am currently taking. Please advise if the current treatment is sufficient or if I should undergo further tests or treatment.

Your symptoms including headache, fever, red skin dots, and occasional nosebleeds could be from viral fever or dengue, but only a Dengue NS1 or IgM test can confirm it. A CBC helps track your blood counts but doesnt confirm dengue directly. The good news is that dengue is curable, and most people recover with rest and proper hydration. Please show your reports and medicines to your doctor again for follow up.

Take a Dengue Profile - Elisa Test or Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test

View allI have been experiencing fever for the past 3 days, along with muscle and back pain, cold, and headache. On the first day, an MBBS doctor prescribed Cefixime and Cetrizine + Phenylephrine. On the third day, I had a lab test, which showed: RBC, PCV, and platelet counts slightly below normal No parasites detected Could you please advise what these results indicate and if any further treatment or investigations are needed?

Diagnosed with dengue today and already hospitalized. I was admitted on Tuesday evening for a viral infection. Blood reports were done on Monday, Thursday, and today. My platelet count dropped from 1.8 to 0.90, and now it is 0.28. After that, the dengue test came back positive. Please suggest what should be done.

I recently did an NS1 dengue test, which came out negative. Unsatisfied with the result, I repeated the test at a different clinic, and it showed a Dengue NS1 Antigen ratio of 3.5. All other parameters, such as platelet count and blood pressure, are normal. Can someone explain what this result means in detail, and what steps I should take next?
