Hi Doctor, My mother has high blood pressure and thyroid issues. In the past, she has undergone multiple surgeries, including three hernia operations, appendix removal, and a sterilization procedur, around 11 operations in total. Could you please advise about COVID19 vaccination for her? Specifically, which tests should be done before vaccination, and what parameters in the blood report should be within normal limits?

COVID vaccine is safe. Ensure BP and thyroid are stable. Recommend CBC, TSH, creatinine, ECG before vaccination if elderly or with comorbidities.
