Hi, my blood test report for HIV shows negative (0.06). What does this decimal number mean? I have taken this test after 72 hours. Should I take it again after a few days?

0.06 means negative, but 72 hrs is early. Repeat after 28 days for confirmation. Consult a doctor for guidance.

View allMy report states that HIV 2 can be slow progressors to AIDS. I did an RTPCR test after 6 years of exposure, and the result was nondetected. However, the report notes that if the viral load is below 100 copies, the result may still come as non detected. My question is, if I had been infected with HIV 2 six years ago and have not taken any medication, could the viral load still be below 100 copies after six years due to slow progression?

Hello Doctor, I had sex with a sex worker 35 days ago. I have had symptoms for the past month, such as nail discoloration, throat dryness for three weeks, cold, constant sneezing, and penis burning sensation. Is it HIV? I tested with an antibody test today, after 5 weeks of exposure, and it was non-reactive. Please advise how accurate the antibody test is after 5 weeks?

Hi, I am very scared. Please help me. After 80 days of unprotected exposure with a paid partner whose HIV status is unknown, my HIV test report from Dr. Lal Path Lab using the antibody/antigen combo test is 0.82 (non reactive). This value is very close to 1, so I am very stressed that I may still get HIV at the 90th day or after 3 months. Please help me. I am extremely worried.
