View allI recently had my HbA1c tested, and the report indicates that I am in the borderline diabetes range. I believe stress may be a contributing factor. I am really concerned and need guidance on dietary changes to help manage this and regain my fitness. I also have hypothyroidism for 11 years and take Thyronorm 75 mg regularly. Please advise on the best approach to manage both my blood sugar and thyroid health.

My father does not have diabetes. However, today his fasting glucose was 121 mg/dL, and his postprandial blood sugar (PPBS) was 88 mg/dL. Is this a concern? Why is the PPBS lower than the fasting glucose? How should we proceed? His HbA1c is 6.2 percent

I am a 47 year old diabetic with neuropathy. My last clinical test showed an HbA1c of 5.9 percent and creatinine of 0.9 mg/dL. At that time, I was taking Metformin 500 mg twice daily, Novomix 30 (18 units before breakfast and 12 units before dinner), and Lantus 20 units at bedtime. Later, my doctor advised Novomix 30 (18 units before breakfast, 12 units before dinner), Lantus 18 units at bedtime, and Transpire M30 after breakfast. My recent report shows that my HbA1c has risen to 7.5 percent, creatinine to 1 mg/dL, and fasting sugar from 84 to 144 mg/dL. I would like advice on whether I should continue the doctor latest prescription or switch back to my previous regimen.
