How long do we need to take the medicine? How can I know if the treatment is completely effective, since I cannot see clear results in the Widal test?

A positive Widal test alone does not confirm typhoid unless symptoms match. If not improving, repeat CBC, Typhoid IgM, and Blood Culture. Treatment should be continued for the full prescribed course even if you feel better early.

Hi, I have a blood test report including dengue, malaria, and typhoid. When I consulted my doctor, he said it was positive for typhoid. Can anyone confirm the type of fever, please? My son Widal blood test indicates that Salmonella Typhi (H) value is 1:40 dilution and is declared positive by the lab. I have learned that if it is more than 1:60, it means he is infected. Is this correct? He does not have any other problems except high fever of 103 and headache, but the fever repeats at four hour intervals.
