I am a 27 year old female working professional. I go to the office at 5 PM and return home around 3 AM. I have been experiencing a fever every night, with temperatures around 100 to 101F, which goes away in the morning. I also feel extremely tired, with constant muscle aches and fatigue. I have undergone tests for typhoid and a CBC, which were normal, but the nightly fever has persisted for the last 3 to 4 months. Additionally, I have experienced significant unintentional weight loss. I am unsure what to do next. Could you please advise?

Night fever with fatigue, weight loss, and muscle pain for months needs deeper evaluation. Your CBC being okay does not rule out infections like TB, autoimmune conditions, or hormonal issues. Fever only at night is a red flag. Ask your doctor to do ESR, CRP, Chest Xray, ANA test, and Thyroid Profile. Also test for Vitamin D, as deficiency can cause muscle pulling and fatigue. You should visit an internal medicine specialist.
Dr. Yusuf Suggests...
Take a ESR Test (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) Test or Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test

View allI have had a fever of 99 to 100 degrees F for the past 10 days, along with headache and body ache. My CBC report shows leukocytes 8100/cu.mm, neutrophils 60 percent, lymphocytes 34 percent, eosinophils 2 percent, monocytes 4 percent, basophils 0 percent, hemoglobin 12.4 percent, and MPV 11.4. My typhoid tests are normal, and serum bilirubin is 1.08. What could this indicate?

I tested COVID 19 positive on 24th April and received treatment from my doctor. My HRCT score was 3/25 on 26th April and repeated on 6th May, which remained 3/25. I recovered and tested negative on 11th May. My blood reports (CBC, CRP, D dimer) were normal and within range. I also did a CBC on 14th May, which was normal. However, I still feel a mild fever in the afternoon and at midnight, although my temperature stays below 98.6F, and I have no other symptoms. Could you please suggest why I might still be experiencing this mild fever?

I have a fever and did a test for malaria, but the result was negative. Yet, the doctor started malaria medication for 2 days. Is it okay to take it?
