I am a kidney patient and have been undergoing dialysis twice a week for the past 8 years. My hair used to be thick and long, but about 5 months ago, it started falling out suddenly. All my test reports, including iron and protein levels, are normal. What could be the reason for this hair loss?

Hair fall can be due to chronic illness or medications. If iron, protein are normal, consult dermatologist. Consider checking zinc and Vitamin D again.

Dr. Ezhilarasan Suggests...

Take a Vitamin D Test Test or Take a PTH Test (Parathyroid Hormone) Test
