I am a working woman living alone in Mumbai with rotational shifts (morning, day, and night), so I do not have a consistent routine. Recently, I visited my hometown for almost a month. I saw a general physician who did a full body check-up and tests. My reports are mostly normal, except for Vitamin D deficiency and a small functional cyst in my right ovary. My doctor said this cyst is common in women and usually resolves after 2 to 3 menstrual cycles. I have not had regular periods for the past 7 months. Once, my cycle was delayed by 21 days, but normally the interval is 6 days or longer. I do not have facial hair, but after using a Flawless trimmer for women once, I developed cystic acne, especially around the jawline and smile lines. I also experience mild depression, stress, anxiety, and fatigue. Could you please advise what could be causing these issues, and what steps I should take next?

Acne after shaving is likely due to skin irritation, not hormones. Functional ovarian cysts are common and self resolving. Stress and shift work may delay periods. Focus on sleep, routine, and take Vitamin D supplements.

Hi, I am a 20 year old female recently diagnosed with a very low vitamin D level, my 25(OH) Vitamin D (total) result was less than 8.0 ng per mL, based on a blood test done around 4 months ago. I was advised to take Vitamin D3 60,000 IU once a week for 2 months. However, since I also have vitiligo and am currently undergoing depigmentation treatment, I strictly avoid sun exposure. I have heard that in such cases, a longer term vitamin D supplement may be necessary. Could you please guide me on how much vitamin D I should be taking daily in my situation? Also, should I be taking magnesium supplements alongside, and if so, in what dosage?

I am experiencing frequent mood fluctuations and get anxious easily. Recently, I have gained a lot of weight despite no changes in my food habits, and my thyroid test is normal. I often feel very sad, have no enthusiasm for anything, and feel like giving up easily. My sleeping patterns have changed drastically, I either sleep too much or very little. What could be causing this, and what should I do?

I am 30 years old and have been experiencing knee pain for the past month. My X ray shows no abnormalities, and doctors suggest it might be due to calcium deficiency. I am taking calcium supplements and have been undergoing physiotherapy sessions for the last 15 days, but the pain persists. My blood test shows an ESR count of 44. Could you please advise if this is something serious and what further steps I should take?
