I got my blood report for vitamin D and the value is 6.85. I am a pure vegetarian and want to understand if I need to take any supplements?

This is severe deficiency. Sun exposure and a supplement (e.g., cholecalciferol 60,000 IU weekly for 6 to 8 weeks) are needed. Diet alone may not suffice.
