I got my period after almost three months, on 15th July. Since then, I have been experiencing an electrical chill sensation on my scalp and tingling on my face below the eyebrows and lips. I consulted a neurosurgeon 8 days ago, described these symptoms, and was prescribed Nuhenz for 15 days with advice to follow up afterward. The electrical chill and tingling have now reduced by 50 to 60 percent. Recently, due to cold weather, I kept cotton in my ears for three days continuously, and now I hear a ringing sound in my left ear when in a quiet space. Additional notes: I had gum bleeding in the front teeth and visited a dentist, who found inflammation and cleaned my teeth. My blood report shows very low Vitamin D and slightly higher than normal TSH levels. Kindly let me know what could be causing these symptoms and what I should do next.

Low vitamin D and borderline hypothyroidism can explain these symptoms. Nutritional deficiencies also impact nerves. Please take a Vitamin B12 and Calcium test in addition to TSH recheck. Take these to assess nerve and thyroid function.
Dr. Kamran Suggests...
Take a Vitamin B12 Test Test or Take a Calcium Test Test

View allHi, For the past two days, I have been noticing yellow mucus when I spit for the first time in the morning. Last month, I had a complete blood test done, and the only abnormality was slightly elevated lymphocytes. I have Gilbert syndrome and vitamin B12 deficiency, while my vitamin D levels are normal. I have also been experiencing pain in both knees for the past 15 days. I got an Xray done, but the doctor said everything looks normal. I am currently taking Shelcal HD and A to Z daily. Could this indicate any inflammation or infection in my body? Is yellow mucus in the first spit normal?

My Vitamin B12 is 163, which is below the normal range. I am experiencing tingling, numbness, weakness, shortness of breath, fatigue, tiredness, and body pain. I have taken Vitcofol 6, 2 ml injections over the last 10 days. My questions are: Which tests can I do to check iron levels, as I suspect low iron may be causing low hemoglobin? How can I alleviate these symptoms, and how many more B12 injections might I need, considering I am on PPI for GERD, which caused these issues? I may need to continue PPI for a few more months as GERD is almost resolved. I would also like tips to increase my hemoglobin and RBC levels.

I consulted a doctor because I was having balance problems and vertigo, and I was told I have a vitamin B12 deficiency. My test result showed a level of 193. The doctor prescribed Neurobion Forte, Monobe (thiamine), and a multivitamin. I have been taking these medicines for the past 22 days. Although my symptoms have improved, I still have some problems. How long will it take to fully recover?
