Hi, For the past two days, I have been noticing yellow mucus when I spit for the first time in the morning. Last month, I had a complete blood test done, and the only abnormality was slightly elevated lymphocytes. I have Gilbert syndrome and vitamin B12 deficiency, while my vitamin D levels are normal. I have also been experiencing pain in both knees for the past 15 days. I got an Xray done, but the doctor said everything looks normal. I am currently taking Shelcal HD and A to Z daily. Could this indicate any inflammation or infection in my body? Is yellow mucus in the first spit normal?

Yellow mucus in the morning can be normal, often due to mild nasal drip or throat clearing while sleeping. It does not always indicate infection if there is no fever or worsening symptoms. Slightly high lymphocytes are common and not concerning alone. For knee pain, continue light stretching and use supportive footwear. If knee pain persists, check Vitamin D, B12 and uric acid levels if not done recently. Stay hydrated and continue your current supplements.

View allI have had tingling sensations in my hands and legs for the last 3 years, but I have not checked my vitamin B12. Yesterday, I took my first tablet of vitamin B12, 1500 mcg. I am planning to go for the test tomorrow. My concern is, will the tablet I took affect my test report or show any false results since I have taken it only once?
