I have been experiencing lower back pain since Monday which has become progressively worse. I have also been drinking excessive amounts of water about one pint every one and a half hours or less. I have a lack of appetite and feel full most of the time. I visited my GP and they checked my urine and blood pressure which were normal. I am going for blood tests on Monday and will wait for the results. Do you know what could be causing these symptoms? Thank you Jack.

Your symptoms may relate to blood sugar, kidney, or hormonal levels. Since urine and BP are normal, your upcoming blood tests should offer clarity. Keep hydrated and monitor symptoms. Please do blood sugar, kidney function, calcium and thyroid tests to check the cause.

My son is 5 years old and he had a congenital defect in the kidney since birth. Since a few days he has some inflammation which has caused swelling all over the body. His urine report shows that there is protein and blood in the urine. What does this mean and are there any further tests you suggest we should do?
