I have irregular periods, usually with a cycle of 40 days. My last period was on July 31st. I got married on August 14th, and our first intercourse was on August 17th. I experienced red spotting on September 1st, and since then, there has been no bleeding. I took two urine pregnancy tests, both of which were negative. My doctor prescribed Regestrone for 5 days (3 tablets per day). What are the chances of pregnancy, as we have started trying for children and are not using any contraceptives?

Since you have a 40 day cycle and had your last period on July 31st with first intercourse on August 17th, the chance of pregnancy depends on when you ovulated. Spotting on September 1st could be implantation bleeding, but negative UPTs make pregnancy less likely. Regestrone is given to induce a period, and if you do not get your period within a week after stopping it, repeat a urine pregnancy test. If irregular cycles continue while trying for pregnancy, a thyroid profile and pelvic scan may help assess further.

I have been taking Azitheal, Fenza, and AF 150 for a vaginal infection for the past two days due to mild odor. I am trying to conceive and usually have a 24 day menstrual cycle. My last period started on 16th July, and today is the 24th day, but my period has not started yet. Could these medications delay my period, or should I wait for a week before taking a pregnancy test?
