I tested HBsAg positive, and my doctor informed me that I was an inactive carrier. My liver function test values have been normal. Recently, I have been experiencing abdominal pain. My latest LFT remains normal, but an ultrasound showed hepatomegaly with a liver size of 162 mm. My SGPT is 40, SGOT is 24, and my HBV viral load is 9,000. I am attaching my report for your review. Please advise what treatment I require.

Your hepatitis B looks inactive low enzymes levels, viral load 9000, yet the liver is a bit enlarged. Most carriers simply need 6 monthly monitoring. A FibroScan shows if any scarring is starting. Repeat viral load and LFTs guide whether treatment is needed.

Recently I came to know that I have hepatitis B during blood donation and my blood report shows HBsAg greater than 280 IU per ml reactive.
