My mother has been having persistent fever with vomiting for the past six days. Her blood report shows liver enzymes at 300 which is much higher than the normal level of 35. What could be the possible reason and what precautions should we take in the meantime?

High liver enzymes with fever and vomiting may indicate viral hepatitis or drug-induced hepatitis. Please consult a physician urgently and ensure rest and hydration. Please get an LFT, viral hepatitis panel A, B, E, and an ultrasound abdomen to identify the cause and start appropriate treatment.
