The lab report shows HbA1c 6.70, serum creatinine 2.75, uric acid 10.4, serum chloride 95, blood urea 120, BUN 56.1, hemoglobin 9.8, and blood sugar 113. Are these values normal? What should be done?

You have uncontrolled diabetes (HbA1c 6.7), impaired kidney function (creatinine 2.75, urea 120, BUN 56.1), hyperuricemia, and anemia (Hb 9.8). This needs urgent nephrologist and diabetologist care. Dietary changes, hydration, sugar control, and possible uric acid lowering agents are needed. Repeat RFT, CBC, HbA1c after 2 weeks.
Dr. Vasanthasree Suggests...
Take a KFT with Electrolytes (Kidney Funtion) Test or Take a HbA1c Test (Hemoglobin A1c) Test

View allHi, from a recent blood report, my eGFR was 80 and creatinine was 0.92. I have no discomfort or pain during urination. Is there any cause for concern? Should I consult a urologist? I am a 36 year old Indian female.

My father is 65 years old and is suffering from hernia. The doctor has advised surgery. During the pre operative examination, his creatinine level was found to be 2.3, and we were advised to consult a nephrologist for further evaluation. Does this creatinine level indicate kidney failure? If yes, to what extent, and how can it be managed? Also, can we safely proceed with the hernia operation? For context, he has diabetes, but his blood pressure and sugar levels are under control.

Hello. My creatinine level is 1.4. Over the past six months, it has increased slightly, it was 1.22 earlier. Which doctor should I see?
