Last month I got sick with a mild sore throat followed by high fever. I started taking antibiotics for the sore throat, but the fever and body pain continued. After a week, my doctor did a Widal test, which was positive, and prescribed Cyproxin for 2 weeks, suspecting typhoid. I felt better during treatment, but only for one week after stopping the antibiotics, and now I am sick again with low body temperature (36.2C) and fatigue. Other tests including CBC, thyroid, kidney, malaria, and liver function are normal. What could be causing my recurring illness, and what should I do?

Symptoms may suggest unresolved typhoid or post infection fatigue. Low grade symptoms after antibiotics can persist. Widal false positives are common. Repeat Blood Culture, CRP, ESR, and Typhidot IgM to confirm. Stay hydrated, take light food, rest well.

Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test or Take a Typhoid Test Test
