My father is 63 years old and he has diabetes. Recently we visited his regular diabetic doctor for a check up and at that time he said my father is having infection in urine and due to this he should avoid salty foods and ghee foods. We followed his instructions. But in the past few days he was suffering from cold and fever. Suddenly we could not take him to his regular doctor for a check up so I took him to a nearby clinic and that doctor advised to do a culture test. I got the results today. I would like to know what is in the results. Is the report normal? I am attaching the lab report for reference. Thank you.

Diabetic patients are prone to recurrent UTIs. Fever and new symptoms after culture require urgent attention. Interpretation depends on sensitivity patterns. You must take a Urine Culture and CBC to identify infection severity and treat accordingly.

Hi, Three years ago, I completed treatment for pulmonary TB. For the past 10 days, I have been experiencing urinary irritation (feeling the urge but unable to pass urine properly) along with a dragging pain in the lower abdomen. My father was hospitalized for a urinary tract infection and treated with cefox and augmentin. He recovered for one week but at that time pus cells and RBC were present in the urine report and TLC was 13900. Then after eight days fever repeated and TLC was 13000 but urine was clear. He was treated with ampicillin 500 four times. Now after eight days fever has repeated. What will be the cause? Urine culture is negative. There is some increase in the prostate. A stone is seen in the gallbladder. Every Monday fever repeats.
