My mother is 60 years old and has been taking Eltroxin 75 mcg for the past two months, as her TSH was 5.00 at that time. Prior to that, she had been taking Eltroxin 50 mcg for the last ten years. She recently had a thyroid test and the results are: T3: 0.90 ng/mL T4: 9.30 microgram/dL TSH: 16.23 mIU/L I do not understand why her TSH has increased so significantly despite taking her medication regularly. Please advise what steps we should take now.

TSH rise may mean underdosing or poor absorption. Ensure shes taking the tablet on an empty stomach and repeat test after consulting her doctor.

View allHi, my T3 and T4 are high but TSH is normal. I also have PCOS. Can you please suggest if these can be a reason for weight gain? Even with a normal diet, my weight is increasing continuously. Please find the attached blood test report.

I recently had the following test results Anti TPO: 110 TSH: 6.80 Total T3: 114 Total T4: 8.4 HbA1c: 6.2 Total cholesterol: 229 Average heart rate: 70 to 86 (from pedometer band) Lipoprotein: 9.86 High sensitive C reactive protein (hsCRP): 14.86 Previously, my CRP test before vaccination was non reactive. I received my first vaccine dose in August, after which a lymph node near my right breast swelled, which has now reduced by 70 percent. My second dose was on November 18, and the above test was done yesterday. Until last year, my cholesterol and sugar levels were normal, but they became borderline with my thyroid issues and have not improved. Am I at any risk due to these results, and what steps should I take to manage them?
