My mother has had thyroid issues for a long time and she takes her medicine regularly. She works a lot at home but is still unable to reduce her weight. She has rheumatoid arthritis and because of it, she is unable to do exercise or any extra outdoor activity to reduce weight. Painkillers have side effects on her, so she is now taking Ayurvedic medicines for pain relief. Recently, I had her general health test done through 1mg. Her thyroid was slightly high and her WBC count was elevated, but not to the extent that needs immediate medical attention. She is coping well, but there are some gaps in her healthcare. She has visited different doctors, but things are still not improving. I am unable to find a correct doctor for her so that we can take proper care of her health?

Your mothers thyroid and rheumatoid arthritis can both make weight loss difficult. Long term RA limits activity, so non exercise options like diet, joint physiotherapy, and anti inflammatory foods help. Mildly high WBC may reflect RA activity or minor infection not urgent. Ayurvedic meds are fine if they do not interfere with thyroid or pain meds.

I was diagnosed with thyroid issues about a year ago. For the past two months, I have noticed swelling in my hands and feet. I also feel lethargic, always tired, and have difficulty concentrating. Could these symptoms be related to my thyroid, or might there be another cause? Please guide me
