My recent blood test shows that my Vitamin B12 level is 204 pg per ml, while the normal reference range is 211 to 911 pg per ml. Should I be concerned about this mild deficiency? Would you recommend taking Vitamin B12 supplements, or should I try to improve it through natural dietary sources first? Also, what would be an ideal or healthy Vitamin B12 level for someone of my age (27 years) and height (5.11)?

Slightly low. Supplementation (oral or injectable) is safe and effective. Natural sources alone may take longer.

View allHi doctor I am a student of class 12 preparing for IIT. For the past few months I have been facing a problem of forgetting things very easily. I can remember things for short term but it is very difficult for me to remember things for long term. I am facing a lot of problems because of this. I have been searching for a solution but have not found anything that really helps. Three months ago I consulted a psychiatrist but the medicine was not suitable for me as it caused shivering in my limbs. I have tried many exercises but nothing helps in the long run. I also try different methods of remembering things like visualization or linking information with events but it is very difficult to do every time. Please help me doctor. I shall be really grateful if I could get out of this situation. I am sharing my report of consultation with the psychiatrist please have a look at it?

Hi, I have severe dark circles. I have tried retinol but it did not have much effect. My mother also has this problem but mine is more prominent. I do a computer job which worsens the situation. The dark circles are brown in color. Which tests should I undergo before taking any vitamin supplements?
