My recent Liver Function Test results are as follows: Bilirubin Total: 0.65 mg/dL (Normal: 0.00 to 1.10) Bilirubin Direct: 0.17 mg/dL (Normal: 0.00 to 0.20) Bilirubin Indirect: 0.48 mg/dL (Normal: 0.00 to 1.10) AST (SGOT): 28.5 U/L (Normal: 18.0 to 37.0) ALT (SGPT): 47.3 U/L (Normal: 0.0 to 40.0) Could you please explain what these results mean? Is there any concern, particularly with the ALT being slightly above normal?

Slightly elevated ALT (SGPT) could be due to fatty liver, alcohol, medications, or infections. If asymptomatic, focus on a liver friendly diet, avoid alcohol, and retest after a few weeks.

Within 15 days, my LFT levels have increased dramatically, reaching levels similar to primary liver cirrhosis. My recent liver function test report: SGOT: 193 U/L SGPT: 257 U/L GGT: 65 U/L ALP: 338 U/L Direct Bilirubin: 0.60 mg/dL
