Elevated TSH with normal T3 or T4 suggests subclinical hypothyroidism. You should not stop medication without supervision. Retesting TSH, along with estrogen and progesterone if fertility is a concern, is advisable.

I took a thyroid test due to hair loss. My blood report shows normal T3 (73 ng) and T4 (9 microgram) levels, but TSH is slightly elevated at 7.46 microIU. Is this normal? Could this be the cause of my hair loss? Do I need any medication to control the TSH level? Please suggest.
