My Widal report shows S. Paratyphi A from 1/20 to 1/160 are all positive, S. Typhi H and O are positive at 1/20, and S. Paratyphi B is negative. All other sections are negative. Do I have typhoid disease? What should I do regarding this? Is it in a lethal or dangerous condition or is there no need to be anxious?

Paratyphi A titer at 1:160 is suggestive of recent or active infection. Please confirm with Blood Culture and Typhidot IgM/IgG. Take the test today.
Dr. Yusuf Suggests...
Take a CULTURE AND SENSITIVITY - AEROBIC (BLOOD) Test or Take a Typhoid Test Test

Last month I got sick with a mild sore throat followed by high fever. I started taking antibiotics for the sore throat, but the fever and body pain continued. After a week, my doctor did a Widal test, which was positive, and prescribed Cyproxin for 2 weeks, suspecting typhoid. I felt better during treatment, but only for one week after stopping the antibiotics, and now I am sick again with low body temperature (36.2C) and fatigue. Other tests including CBC, thyroid, kidney, malaria, and liver function are normal. What could be causing my recurring illness, and what should I do?

My 2 year 10 month old child has been having fever for the last 4 days. We did CBC and urine tests, which were normal, and dengue and malaria tests, which were negative. The fever subsided on the 5th day but returned on the 6th day, with the child head and body feeling very hot and temperatures above 101F. After taking Paracetamol 250 mg, the temperature temporarily reduced, but it rises again after about 6 hours.
