My Widal test report from two weeks ago shows S. Typhi O at 1:160 and S. Typhi H at 1:320. I am a 34 year old male and would like to know if this indicates typhoid. I started having a fever, and since then, my doctor has been prescribing antibiotics. My question is whether consuming antibiotics for the past 9 days will affect the results of the Widal test. Can positive results turn into false negatives after taking antibiotics?
