Sir, my father is 46 years old and has diabetes. His blood pressure is 130/40 mmHg. In his recent test, his creatinine is 1.3 mg/dL. Can this be reduced, or is it a permanent condition?

A creatinine level of 1.3 is slightly high but can improve with care. Keep blood sugar and blood pressure well controlled to protect kidney health. Drink adequate water and avoid painkillers unless prescribed. Repeat Kidney Function Test (KFT) regularly to monitor creatinine and other kidney markers. Follow a kidney friendly diet if advised by your doctor
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a Glucose Fasting and PP Test Test or Take a KFT with Electrolytes (Kidney Funtion) Test

View allHi Sir/Madam, My grandmother has been admitted to the hospital with a creatinine level of 2.1 and a urinary tract infection. She is also diabetic. I would like to know if this condition can lead to dialysis, or if there is a chance that her creatinine levels can be brought down with treatment. If dialysis becomes necessary, how long would she need to continue it? Please guide us.

The lab report shows HbA1c 6.70, serum creatinine 2.75, uric acid 10.4, serum chloride 95, blood urea 120, BUN 56.1, hemoglobin 9.8, and blood sugar 113. Are these values normal? What should be done?
Answered by Apollo Doctors
My creatinine level is 1.31 mg/dL. Does this indicate kidney failure? Is it dangerous, and do I need to consult a specialist?
