My mother, aged 52, was recently admitted to the hospital and received treatment for fever. The final diagnosis mentioned enteric fever and acute febrile illness. Her blood report shows a white blood cell count of 12,300 cells per cumm and a platelet count of 5.38 lakhs per cumm. I would like to understand what this could indicate. My father is 80 years old and has been suffering from fever for the past 10 days.
