Few studies do hint that children who had fathers but were not involved in their upbringing had more testosterone.
Testosterone increases hormone levels such as estrogen due to which one can experience return of periods and other symptoms such as acne and oily skin.
It is important because testosterone is a sex hormone that plays important roles in the body. In men, it regulates sex drive (libido), bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass and strength, and the production of red blood cells and sperm.
Hormonal issues can cause acne by increasing the amount of oil your skin produces. This oil interacts with bacteria on the pores of the skin causing acne outbreak.
Mint, flaxseeds and nuts are known to lower testosterone levels
