Hey, I've been diagnosed with PCOS and my ob-gyn recommended I take Althea pills. I'm a bit worried thoughwhat happens if I get my period before finishing the 21 days of pills? Should I stop for 7 days and then continue with the remaining pills? I'm just a little confused about how to handle this.

If you get your period before completing the 21 days of Althea pills, continue taking the pills as prescribed until you finish the full 21 days. There's no need to stop the pills for 7 days; just complete the pack and start the next one on time. Always check with your doctor for personalized advice.

Continue Taking Pills: Do not stop the Althea pills early. Complete the 21-day course even if you experience bleeding.
-
7-Day Break: After finishing the 21 days, take the 7-day break as advised. This allows for withdrawal bleeding.
-
Monitor Bleeding: If bleeding is heavy or unusual, contact your doctor for advice.
-
Follow Doctor’s Instructions: Always adhere to your OB-GYN’s specific guidance.
For any concerns or discomfort, consult your healthcare provider.

I'm 29 weeks pregnant and my latest USG report shows an open internal OS with a cervix of 2.8, a funnel diameter of 6.4mm, and a funnel length of 12.8mm. I'm currently in the hospital, and I'm really worried about how risky this situation might be. Could you please help me understand what those measurements mean and what I should expect?
While your condition does carry some risks, especially for preterm birth, many women with similar conditions go on to have successful pregnancies with the appropriate treatment and monitoring. Your healthcare providers will be the best source of advice to manage this situation and minimize risks to both you and your baby. Stay in close contact with your doctor, and follow their instructions carefully.
