Hi, I have been living in Chennai for the past 8 months. My skin is of wheatish complexion, but it has become dull and darker, likely due to the weather. My hands, which are already darker than my overall body tone, have also become very dark. Even when I use sunscreen, I have tried Lotus and Rivela, my face still looks instantly darker. I have also tried various home remedies to remove tan, but they have not worked. I am now considering using dermocosmetic products. Are they effective? Can they provide permanent results in removing the darkness from my skin? Kindly suggest.

Likely due to sun exposure, humidity, or pollution. Dermocosmetic products like azelaic acid or kojic acid may help. Permanent reversal is not guaranteed, but tone can improve with consistent care.

View allI am a working woman living alone in Mumbai with rotational shifts (morning, day, and night), so I do not have a consistent routine. Recently, I visited my hometown for almost a month. I saw a general physician who did a full body check-up and tests. My reports are mostly normal, except for Vitamin D deficiency and a small functional cyst in my right ovary. My doctor said this cyst is common in women and usually resolves after 2 to 3 menstrual cycles. I have not had regular periods for the past 7 months. Once, my cycle was delayed by 21 days, but normally the interval is 6 days or longer. I do not have facial hair, but after using a Flawless trimmer for women once, I developed cystic acne, especially around the jawline and smile lines. I also experience mild depression, stress, anxiety, and fatigue. Could you please advise what could be causing these issues, and what steps I should take next?

There is a white patch that has emerged on my neck, which was not that prominent sometime back but now it is quite prominent. I got blood tests done on the advice of the doctor and I do not have sugar or thyroid. I have vitamin D deficiency though. What could be the possible reason for this white patch? There is no patch on any other part of the body, only on the neck.

I have been suffering from a slipped disc for the past four months. My blood report shows a deficiency in Vitamin B12 and D3. Could you please suggest which calcium supplement or medicines I should take for these deficiencies? Currently, I am taking Gemcal Plus.
