I've had a completely dissolved left hip joint for the past 13 years, which has made my left leg about one and a half inches shorter than my right. If you have recently delivered a baby through C section, you should wait for atleast three months to allow the body to recover. Even after three months, your blood tests and other investigations should be done and surgery should be performed only if you are medically fit for the same. Hip replacement is not an emergency and is an elective procedure. When performed by a Joint replacement surgeon/ Fellowship trained Orthopaedic surgeon, you will get excellent long term results.
