I had laser surgery for grade IV hemorrhoids 20 days ago but there's still some swelling near my anus that feels like a hemorrhoid. Is this normal or should I be concerned? How long does it usually take for the swelling to go away completely after this type of surgery?

View allI've been diagnosed with rectal prolapse and my doctor mentioned two surgery options STARR and laparoscopic rectopexy. What's the difference between them, and which one is usually better? Also, what kind of risks or complications should I be aware of with each procedure?
Adults with rectal prolapse need surgery to put rectal tissue that slips into their anus back where it belongs. Rectal prolapse surgery (rectopexy) may take place through your abdomen or perineum (a perineal rectosigmoidectomy).

I've been dealing with thrombosed external hemorrhoids and really want to avoid surgery if possible. Are there effective home remedies to treat them when they're still at a normal stage? What can I do at home to help them heal faster?
To manage thrombosed external hemorrhoids without resorting to surgery, focus on pain relief and inflammation reduction through home remedies. These include applying ice packs, using topical creams or ointments, and taking over-the-counter pain relievers. Also, try gentle sitz baths and lifestyle changes like increasing fiber and staying hydrated
