I have been experiencing fever around 104F for the past 3 to 4 days, which sometimes comes and goes, along with a bad sore throat, dizziness, flu symptoms, and fatigue. I had a Widal test for typhoid, and the result came back positive. The report also notes that titres in excess of 1:80 are probably significant.

Widal positive (more than 1:80) with symptoms suggests typhoid. Start antibiotics only under doctor supervision. Also, rule out dengue or COVID if fever persists.

My son Widal blood test indicates that Salmonella Typhi (H) value is 1:40 dilution and is declared positive by the lab. I have learned that if it is more than 1:60, it means he is infected.
