I have been taking Vitamin D3 60,000 IU regularly for the past year. However, for the last two months, I have been experiencing a dull pain in my left abdomen. My recent Vitamin D3 level is 121 ng per mL, and my urine report shows the presence of amorphous phosphates. The recent ultrasound is normal. Could you please advise if this could be due to Vitamin D3 toxicity and what steps I should take next to correct this?

Your Vitamin D level is quite high. Long term high doses can cause calcium imbalance and kidney dysfunction. Stop supplements, drink plenty of water, and repeat your blood tests.
Dr. Vasanthasree Suggests...
Take a KFT with Electrolytes (Kidney Funtion) Test or Take a Vitamin D (1,25 Dihydroxy Cholecalciferol) Test

Hi, I have been living in Chennai for the past 8 months. My skin is of wheatish complexion, but it has become dull and darker, likely due to the weather. My hands, which are already darker than my overall body tone, have also become very dark. Even when I use sunscreen, I have tried Lotus and Rivela, my face still looks instantly darker. I have also tried various home remedies to remove tan, but they have not worked. I am now considering using dermocosmetic products. Are they effective? Can they provide permanent results in removing the darkness from my skin? Kindly suggest.
